Industrial Etymologies
List of company name etymologies. Add to that Sureblue Studios, which emerged when my brother misheard Shrdlu. I also like blue and it's happy connotations, and the reasonable closeness of it to " true blue," 'cause we're service-oriented and very nice people to work with.

If You Like Advertising, You'll LOVE These.

Green Arrow, Yellow Arrow, White Arrow
Packaging history of Juicy Fruit, Doublemint and Spearmint gum. I love the new DoubleMint look but the SpearMint isn't quite right and the Juicy Fruit is a total miss. They should have pulled more from the 30s and 40s era and modded them up like they did with the DoubleMint.

it's good for you
I'm not sure what I like better about this Guinness tv spot better - the fact that it features hurling or that in the signature shot the dark of the stadium and the light of day mirror the head of a just poured pint. Nice.

toylands of yesteryear
Awesome gallery of old food packaging and advertising and all kinds of other things. Sugary products, sugary design, and a gallery of fast food premiums as well.
