RetrofixStyle.com
the clientRetrofix is a purveyor of collectible design from the 1950s, 60s and 70s, specializing in fine furniture, nifty housewares and cool motorcycles. Based in a Milwaukee antique mall, they wanted an internet presence to support their eBay sales and attract customers worldwide to their unusual merchandise. the challengeRetrofix went from conception to store opening in less than a month. They needed a look, a logo, and a web site that was accessible and reflected the swank designs of their products -- all with a two week deadline. the sureblue solutionWe took some elements of the store designer's palette and went dotty about the dots on their walls. Combining the two with a splashy pink, a motion-forward space-agey doodle, and a hip font, we designed their logo. The site fell into place from there, using page modules for faster maintenance and cascading stylesheets for easy and flexible page layout. |
